A poem to God

You're holy, powerful, ever right,
In brightest day, in darkest night,
I'll live by faith and not by sight,
Your love for me still shines, a light.

Your love for me will never end,
You are faithful, Your promise true,
With Your Word we will defend,
I will stay rooted in You.

You will never leave nor forsake me,
And no matter where, its with You I'd rather be.
What can separate me from You, Oh Lord?
Be it trials, hardships, danger, sword?

You are almighty, you are all-powerful.
The demons tremble when they see You.
Yet, when I fail, when I fall from grace,
Its You who runs first to me, and hold me in Your embrace.

Even if I can't see you, I know You’re there.
Because You have made the first move,
(With Your death You broke my chains, You took away my sin and shame!)
Now I will live for You.
